A lot of people who set goals do not include the most important people in their life in the process, but why? After all, the goals we set impact them, too. If we fail to include these key people (whether that’s your spouse, partner, a roommate, boss, etc.), there is a lot that can stop you from reaching the goals you set: For one, what if they don’t agree with the goal(s) you feel to be most important? If you’re not both on the same page, your biggest supporters can quickly turn into your biggest obstacles.

We all have disagreements from time to time, right? Many of us, will voice our concerns to our boss and explain why our way is better. But, it’s not always with the right tone or attitude, so the boss stands his ground. “These misconceptions are sort of incorrect expectations that make us feel frustrated because our expectations aren't met. Our arguments aren't bad. I think of them as either productive or unproductive. And so, really, the goal is to make them from unproductive to productive...
