Many times people realize that they are not where they should be, doing what they should be doing, but they’re afraid to make a change. They’re afraid of what negative consequences may happen if they make a change. Maybe they make up excuses like:
And I totally get these. It can be scary when you face the unknown. But, on the other hand, what if the change was actually going to improve your situation - not make it worse? As I’ve worked with thousands of people making career changes, getting over this hurdle is one of the best things that has happened in their lives. They’ve been able to find the work that really fits them. In many cases, they’ve been able to negotiate better salaries and benefits. They’ve been able to spend more quality time with their families.
